Tonight is our social event for the month for our Friday Night class. We were going to go to LaserForce but due to insufficient numbers being confirmed I had to cancel our booking yesterday. So....let's have a movie night!
Come around to Aaron & Vanessa's at 7pm (or be at my office at 7pm or a little earlier if you need a ride)

If you enjoy singing, appreciate or want to know more about the beauty of acapella singing, want to be involved in the workshop, would like to come and listen, then you should attend and you are invited.

On Friday 27th February, we concluded our O-Week activites with a scavenger hunt. Fun was had by both the young and the old. This was a great opportunity for us to get out into the eye of the public to show that we dont need to drink to have fun.

Just a quick not to say everything is going great. Had a good hassle free trip to Auckland, L.A. and now Dallas. The weather has been like a lovely summer day in Dunedin. Had a lovely visit with the North Oaks church Sunday. Give our love to all. Welb

Movie Night

Monday night we had a MOVIE night.
We watched the movie "Expelled - No Intelligence Required" by Ben Stein. This was a part of our O-Week 09 activities.
It was attended by members of our congregation and some visitors also. We had good discussion both before and afterwards,
as well as a delicious supper.
Thanks to all who came and contributed to a great evening. Don't forget, Friday night is a Photo Scavenger Hunt, and you're inivited!
If you missed out on seeing it and would like to, let Aaron know....we plan to view it again later in the year.

O-Week 09

Update on Welb's health

An update for those who may have heard through the grapevine about our excitement on Sunday after Nikki's baptism. Welb is doing fine, and he's back to his old self again. Praise God, as he did give a few people a bit of a fright.
Welcome to a new sister

Psalm 16:2 says "I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing."
Immediately after our morning assembly on Sunday February 8th 2009, we welcomed a new sister into Christ. Nikki Strathern has been a member here for the last couple of years and has been diligent in having one on one Bible studies and often wrestling with some of the weightier matters of scripture. She has been an active member of our student group and congregation as a whole. Nikki attends all of our scheduled activities and worship times, Bible Classes, Ladies class etc. and is often at the Church office helping Aaron.
We are rejoicing along with the heavenly hosts as Christ has added Nikki to His church and it thrills us she is a member of the body here in Dunedin. Our prayers, love and support are with you as you now walk in newness of life having been raised with Christ.
